Build Your Home on Your Land in Howard County

In this post, we will go over a bit of our process of how we will help build your home on your land in Howard County.  

Planning

With the planning of any home construction, the process will be long and hard. One of the first things we’ll have to do is acquire any permits needed and make sure your home will be positioned correctly on your land. Once jobs have been done, we can then start to discuss the floor plan of your new home. Thankfully for you here at Viking, we have a multitude of floor plans you can choose, and each can be customized so you can create a space that is perfect for you and your family. Finally, once the floor plan and the permits have been approved, it’s time for us to begin construction.  

Construction

Once your building permit has been approved within two weeks, we can begin the excavation of your home. We only work on select amounts of homes at once so we can give each client enough attention and quick answers to any questions they might have. Throughout the process, we are transparent as much as possible, and because of our decades worth of experience, we can deal with any delays promptly. You will have to meet with us on site for a few scheduled meetings such as pre-construction, electrical, advanced wiring, framing, pre-settlement, and a final walkthrough.  

Follow Ups

Once your dream home is finally constructed, we at Viking Custom homes want to stay in touch to make sure everything in your new home is running well. The first inspection is scheduled after thirty days of the build. Next is a six-month inspection that is for addressing any problems that may have arisen after the thirty-day inspection. After the final scheduled inspection over the years, your home will be covered by a warranty that covers any major mechanical problems and a warranty that covers any structural problems that may come to the forefront.
