Cary Cumberland, President of Viking Custom Homes, graduated with a Marketing degree from Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania. With his 50-year family history in the building industry and over 15 years of personal experience, Cary is unrivaled in his technical knowledge of all aspects of the trade. His hands-on approach keeps him in the field on job sites to ensure excellence. He has nurtured mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and real estate agents enabling Viking to consistently obtain premiere lots, acquire new land development projects, and deliver a top quality product. Cary resides in Howard County with his wife, Lisa and three children. When he’s not working – you might catch him flying overhead or mountain biking.
Vince Coleianne, founder and Vice President of Finance and Accounting, earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola College and a Masters degree from the University of Maryland. His experience with the construction and real estate industries spans 40 years and encompasses Baltimore, Howard, Carroll, and Frederick counties. Today, in addition to assuming all finance and accounting duties, Vince heads Viking’s remodeling division with unsurpassed attention-to-detail and focus on customer communication and satisfaction. Years ago, he established Viking’s trademarks of “quality and experience” and continues to guide the organization in its focus and dedication to both. Mr. Vince, as we like to call him, enjoys spending time with his wife and spoiling his grandchildren. He lives in one of the first homes ever built by Viking Custom Homes. With a passion for living right and exercising, he has been known to jog to work frequently – at least that’s his story when he shows up in sweat pants.
Dan Moore, Vice President of Construction, attended University of Maryland College Park. Over the last 20+ years he has supervised the construction of hundreds of homes for Marylanders. From condominiums to single-family homes, Dan has made a positive impact on the residential construction industry through his innovative thinking, tough negotiating skills, and ability to implement cost effective building practices. A well-respected voice in the industry, Dan has been an invaluable resource for Viking Custom Homes and their homebuyers. He currently resides in Littlestown, PA with his wife, Stephanie and two sons. Dan and his wife are actively involved in raising awareness and funds for childhood cancer research. When he’s not on the jobsite, look for him at the ball fields where he coaches little league.
Sandy Segrist, Sales & Marketing Coordinator, attended University of Maryland, Baltimore County and brings 15 years of human resources, customer relations, budgeting, and accounting experience to the Viking team. It could not be more relevant seeing as how she is the control center for all things related to our customer’s selections. From her organizational abilities to her weekly construction progress emails to our clients, Sandy improved the Viking building process simply by being a part of it. Sandy and her husband Scott call Howard County home. She has been blessed with athletic kids, a daughter and son, so she enjoys sports - fast pitch softball and golf to name two!
Lisa Cumberland, Social Media & Public Relations Manager, graduated from Loyola College with a degree in Communications and later obtained a Masters in Marketing from Johns Hopkins University. Her professional experience includes 15 years in the corporate arena, with expertise in communications, marketing and customer service. Lisa contributes a great deal of enthusiasm for the industry and a strong background in customer relations. She is an avid sports fan and her wall of NFL quarterback posters proves it! Lisa is a mother of 3 and therefore spends a great deal of time honing her other skills – negotiating, refereeing, and directing.
